There's a ROM out there that allows you to play Sonic the Hedgehog as a SNES game, and, believe me, it controls so much better (especially with the Wii's Classic Controller). But what I ran across today is MUCH more badass... you can now play the original Super Mario Bros. as other icons of the 8-bit gaming world!
Courtesy of Exploding Rabbit, Super Mario Bros. Crossover allows you to play as Samus, Link, Mega Man, Simon Belmont, and Bill from Contra. As if that wasn't awesome enough, you also have access to their various skill sets, weaponry, and game soundtracks!
