Any true-blue fan of horror should be able to tell you that the name of the ship that carries Dracula from Transylvania to London in the novel, and most of the films, is named Demeter. Well, according to Bloody-Disgusting, a long-dormant movie version of the fictional ship's ill-fated trip will be coming to the screen in the not-too-distant future.
The chapter in the novel covering the voyage was presented as an excerpt from the Captain's log and, if the script is anything like it, the film will play out in an Alien-like fashion, with the Captain becoming increasingly worried as members of his crew disappear at the hands of a mysterious passenger.
Being a fan of both the book and many of the film adaptations, I'm pretty excited to hear this news. Not only is it original, but also, if it's done right, it'll be an excellent horror-thriller!
