You don't have to be a nerd to appreciate science, especially the science of imagination. That's why the first award for "One of the Most Awesome Internet Things Ever" goes to Popular Science: their ENTIRE freakin' catalog is available online. Big whoop, you say? Let me put it into perspective for you... PopSci has been around for 137 years.

For my first search there I thought it only fitting, being a lover of both science fact AND fiction, that I look up articles about Arthur C. Clarke (inventor of a satellite, author of 2001: A Space Odyssey). I browsed the results and eventually read a fantastic article on the making of 2001 that came from the June 1968 issue.
